NorwayThe second you get to the village itself, it feels like you are brought back to a different time with all the traditional-looking houses in the village, despite there being asphalt roads and a CVS close by(which is a good thing of course)! Seeing the mountains in the background is such a captivating image that will stick with me for a long time, this captivating feeling is just multiplied a lot when you enter the accommodation. We were welcomed by the hostess when we arrived, and she is a very kind and welcoming person, even if you have never stayed at such an accommodation before, you will feel at home at once. It is quite spacious if you are a couple travelling, but I would say it's very comfortable. All the amenities are in good quality and very practical, and overall the place is very quiet and calming place.
After being shown around by the hostess and stepping out, we were recommended some places to go and things to see, like the 진관사(Jingwansa Temple), and it was so lovely! There is also lots of trails leading to hiking the mountains, though we did not do so.
In the mornings we were greeted with the hostess making us a delicious breakfast featuring all delicious things as fruits, fresh sandwiches, salads and homemade traditional Korean soups, these were all delicious (especially the peanut soup 😉).
Going back to speaking of being brought back to a different time, some might still sleep on the floor like this, but as a foreigner it felt very authentic sleeping on the floor like this. It might be a bit hard for some people's backs, but there are numerous of futons and different types if you prefer something softer! You can also try hanbok and a traditional instrument!
There were numerous images and prizes on display in the library/living room which I assume is dedicated to the accommodation, and I can do nothing but vouch for it and agree with it.
Overall, just a great stay and a very great time, can only recommend it!
