El Pulpo is a really nice place in nature with a lot of birds (tucans!) and monkeys around. The tents are very comfortable, spacious and modern. Loved the things they custom made, like the very handy closet. The area is very green and calm, but restaurants and the supermarket are still nearby. The owners are lovely and very helpful as well!

Juan and Ana are exceptional hosts and made this a very special place to stay. The lodge is a beautiful design with a forest backdrop, full of wildlife. It was an excellent place to spend time and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Every day brings a new and delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.

From the moment we arrived and walked down the beautiful garden path until the moment we left, all was wonderful. Joe and Lynn were fantastic hosts, always happy to give information and suggestions and quick to respond to any inquiries/needs. The accommodations are cozy and private. The pool was perfect, and a great place to watch the birds and lizards. Toucans in the trees above, wood rails coming for a drink and iguanas visiting around the pool, all while surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants made for an unforgettable vacation. So many great things to do within a very short distance. Thank you, can't wait to come back!

Beautiful place in the jungle with many flowers and colorful plants. The wooden bungalows are very nice and comfortable. You wake up with voices of birds all around. Everything is very clean and well kept. The breakfast is super tasty with big choice. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Super location. The ideal base for planning trips. Chris and Kirsten are a great help as they have checked ALL the various trips you can make in the area and 'curated' the best ones, which made our planning so much easier. Also, the location by the river is fantastic for a relaxing rest when you get back plus the chance to see lots of amazing animals and birds. Breakfast was great too. Overall, thoroughly recommended! We would definitely go back.
