Our stay at The Anchor Lodge was perfect. Instructions to check in and out came promptly early in the morning. The apartment has beautiful views, comfortable beds and a brilliant shower. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of fridge space to allow us to cook from home for a couple of the days. The Internet coverage was good and the lift was a real bonus helping us get luggage into the apartment. The place was perfectly located near the MAS muesum, some lovely restaurants and coffee shops. The apartment was also very close to the local trams for journeys into the city centre and adventuring around other parts of Antwerp. I hope to be able to stay again in the future.

I want to start by expressing my gratitude to our host, Yassin, for his exceptional hospitality, assistance, and excellent service throughout our stay. The apartment exceeded my expectations—spacious, clean, cozy, and fully equipped. Everything was in perfect working order, from the kitchen appliances to the bathrooms. The bedrooms were spotless and well-organized, making for a comfortable stay. The apartment’s location is also a major plus. With multiple supermarkets nearby and convenient access to public transportation just around the corner, it made getting around easy and stress-free. Overall, it was an outstanding experience. The location was good, the chalet was exactly as stated and an interesting building. We had plenty of space and everything we needed for cooking and eating, including a bottle of Cava in the fridge 👍🏾 (which was a lovely gift) The heating made the chalet was very warm, most welcome in January. We could go out of the door and walk by the river, along the lanes. There was little traffic. Our host Ivan was very helpful and gave us tips on where to walk. Any questions we had, I could text to him and he replied immediately, we had a problem with the hot water and he came within 10 mins to fix it. Which reduced our stress levels. The area is interesting, and although not on a main road it was easy to find, we drove from Calais and it was a very simple journey. We went for a specific event, but this would be an area we would consider returning to and definitely to the Chalet . 😊
