When we arrived, it was rainy and cold, and after a gloomy day at Kawaguchiko, we didn’t expect much as we headed uphill to the glamping site. But walking into our lodge, we were immediately stunned by the view even without Mount Fuji in sight. Arriving soaked and chilly, we really appreciated the cozy, heated lodge and the well-equipped kitchen that let us easily prepare a warm meal. The next morning, Mount Fuji finally revealed itself, and the view became truly spectacular. Honestly, we could have spent the entire day just soaking it all in and still been amazed every time we looked around. While we did head down for a bike ride in the town, staying put would’ve been just as satisfying. This stay came at the midpoint of our trip, and it was exactly the reset we needed. Since the transportation is organized by the property and there’s no Wi-Fi, you naturally return earlier and slow your pace. After days of rushing to “see it all,” the change of rhythm was a gift.

The kitchen is very well equipped with rice cooker, portable induction cooker, toaster and microwave. Do buy food from supermarket at Kawaguchio station, really to cook your meals. The vicinity is quiet and basically there for Mount Fuji only. There is shuttle bus provided for check in and out. Have to book at least a day in advance. Toilet is inside the kitchen so you don't need to brace the cold while eating and drinking in the kitchen. Bathroom with a bathtub is beside the kitchen. Overall a superb glamping experience.
