Awesomeness in a small package. It was very exciting for us to experience a Yurt in Finland, as "Yurt" has it's roots in old Turkish - meaning "Home". Although the weather was cold, the Yurt itself was pleasantly warm. Everything looks very basic at first glance. However it proves to be very sufficient and even very refreshing so that it is just perfect. Gigi is a very kind and helpful person. Gigi recommended an app for the northern lights. However we were a bit unlucky and the weather did not allow us to see the northern lights. She offered us free Marshmellows as a compensation, which was very sweet. We will be back next year and stay again at Yurt District and this time we will bring a little surprise with us from Türkiye for Gigi.

Everything was amazing. The location was magical, surrounded by beautiful snow covered forest beside the lake and only 12 min walk from the nearest bus station. Enjoyed BBQ at Lappish BBQ hut. The sauna and shower were spacious and super clean .Milda cooperated in all respects to make our stay so memorable at igloo.

Kelly, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The sauna, which is in the home of the owner(s) is nice, so is the bbq hut. The location is ok - nice to be in the nature, at the lake. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see my wildlife

Location was perfect, bus stop right outside the property with easy access to Santa's Village and the airport and a short walk to shops, restaurants and safari offices. Room and amenities were perfect for a family of 4 (2 kids under 10). The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed to make our stay perfect. They answered all our questions quickly and were always so friendly. THIS PLACE IS A MUST STAY!

I could not imagine a better stay to experience Finland's wilderness. You are likely to see roaming around in the morning. The views from the cabin are amazing and the sauna is exceptional. To top it off, Teemu is an incredibly nice host who strives to make your stay a perfect one.

Incredible experience in the snow and seeing Santa. A really special place and very friendly people. The sauna in the bathroom was such a surprise and the food was excellent. Slightly expensive but the convenience and magic made it worth it. Wish we could have travelled into the wilderness a bit more. Christmas House Safari's were very fun and welcoming.
