What a Place! 15 dollars for a whole Little bungalow with private bathrooms. Big bed, super comfortable, great pillows! Everything was super clean, towel and shower gel are included. Breakfast Is included and it's delicious with so much fruit too! Dinner was included too and so delicious! I loved everything, the fireplace, the food, the common area with pool and more! You have free bikes to go around the city, 10 Min walking but this Place Is Just perfect in the nature, with and Amazing view and at the beginning of the Quilotoa Loop. Family hostel and they were absolutely Amazing, sweet and lovely! I wished I could stay a whole week there!

The hotel feels friendly and comfortable, with a beautiful design full of wood, which also nicely matches its name Maderanegra. The man working in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. He explained many things to us, even checking the bus schedule. Our room was clean and medium-sized, with a practical wardrobe and plenty of hooks for clothes and bags. Breakfast was a simple but good start to the day (coffee, juice, cheese sandwich, fruit). Not a huge variety, but enough. Latacunga is a good base (much closer than from Quito) to visit Laguna Quilotoa (by cheap public bus from the terminal) and Cotopaxi Nationalpark (by tour).

You can play table tennis at this 3-star hotel, and the area is popular for cycling. The lodge is fantastic and the staff provide an excellent level of service. Great value for the money. The common area is very nice and guests are consistently wonderful people. I also enjoyed the communal dinner. The staff will set you up with locally guided tours to Cotopaxi and local mountain guides for surrounding peaks (I highly recommend Javier and Jaime).

A continental breakfast is available at the hotel. This lodge is easily the best hostel we have ever stayed in. The main house, cabins, yoga rooms and spa (!) are all gorgeous and wonderfully well equipped. We loved the family-style meals at dinner and breakfast, the yoga class and the jacuzzi in the spa. The team went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable at any given moment :) We had an absolutely amazing time here and would strongly recommend that you stay at least two nights!
