My favorite hostel during my trip to South America, no one else. There are many rules for check-in, but I like it this way. We make it clear in advance and follow it, so that everyone can maintain a good atmosphere in the youth hostel. The kitchen is large, with two sets of stoves, so everyone can cook without waiting for a long time. In Calafate in January, the sunset is very late, and the kitchen has great lighting. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The opening time is also suitable for the tours. The toilet and shower are very clean, the hot water for bathing is very large, and there is a hair dryer. It is not far from the bus station on foot, and it is convenient for public transportation. There is a small blue house at the intersection, which is a supermarket. It sells delicious beef and reasonable-priced Coke, hahaha.

Great big hostel! The facilities are top notch, great double private room, the dorms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Thee ensuite bathrooms were also well appointed and always clean. The common spaces are great to eat, work and relax - the views are incredible. The location is perfect, 10-15 min walk from both the bus terminal and the city center. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. It's a large hostel so the socializing vibe is limited as there were lots of groups and couples but still possible to meet people if you're social or join group tours.

Santiago reached out to us days before arriving. He gave us all the necessary information about how to reach him or his brother. Everything we needed to know how to enter the apartment. He also added additional information what to do in Califate and recommendations. A lot of little thinks are very well thought through. To connect to the internet, he provided a QR code so that the connection can be established with an easy click. These QR codes are even outside for travelers who arrive without access to the internet. We have met Santiago the next day and he gave us lots of recommendations what to do and ideas where to go. He was always reachable through WhatsApp and helped us a lot.

Excellent location close to the bus terminal (3-5 min walking). Quite, very clean, well equipped cabin. Bed, bedding is comfortable and good quality towels. Good WiFi and also there’s pick up/ drop off same day laundry service is a plus. Pablo the host is very friendly. He can also recommend local excursions on reasonable prices.

We loved our little stay in this very comfortable and warm apartment. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was extremely comfortable, great shower, plenty of space and excellent WiFi. The location is far from the bus terminal so arrange transport or have pesos for a taxi. The apartment is close to a larger supermarket (10min walk) as well as some local shops. The centre is around 20mins but with many different ways to walk, it's a very enjoyable way to see another side of Calafate. You can take a taxi from the centre back from the taxi stalls for 2,000. Santiago was absolutely incredible with helping myself (solo traveller with a toddler) and for his hospitality and help alone I cannot recommend staying here enough. Not only did he offer to pick us up from the bus terminal but he was so helpful in exchanging money and answering my million and one questions. 10/10 for attention to detail and comfortable stay.
