Nestled amongst olive groves in the hills of Acquedolci is the charming compound of Relais Cartolari. When you step in to the apartment you feel like you’re stepping back in time. The apartments have been decorated and furnished with detail to accentuate the Sicilian countryside heritage of the building. The apartment has everything you need to cook a meal and then eat on the terrace. The terraces and swimming pool have stunning and breathtaking views of the sea and Aeolian islands. The swimming pool was refreshing to swim in whilst admiring the views and the peaceful tranquility of the property. The wonderful host Iryna takes care of her guests and property with the utmost care, kindness and thought. Nearly every day Iryna’s mother brought us olives, cakes, biscuits or cannoli - fantastic! They also make their own olive oil which is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Iryna can recommend the best places to eat or for certain foods (arancini, pastries or pizza and seafood etc) and goes above and beyond to look after her guests and help make their stay memorable. I’ve been lucky enough to travel a lot but also in Sicily and this is one of the most spectacular places I’ve stayed at. I recommend this property without a doubt!

The house was spacious, with double beds. The kitchen was equipped with the all essentials to prepare meals. The patio had tables, chairs and parasol with a barbecue are, amazing for family meals. The pool just in front of the apartment with a beautiful sea view and the best sunset! Iryna was very welcoming, showed us around to all the corners of the family villa. She had designed beautiful gardens for guests to enjoy themselves. She even gave us a little tour of her mom’s beautiful dolls collection. We got to try the amazing limoncello produced by her family. Iryna’s mom treated us to amazing cakes and cannolis 😊 Iryna texted us all the recommended places to eat and visit. Our friends also stayed here, we were attending a wedding, we hanged around the pool and had amazing meals in the provided areas. Our friends staying in other places were welcomed to join us for swimming and a lovely meal outdoors. We truly enjoyed our stay here, an amazing place to stay, what a retreat. We hope to return one day.

Our room was spacious, immaculate, thoughtfully decorated, organized and private but within blocks of an amazing pastry shop, restaurants, shopping and the beach. The hostess, Nadia, was wonderful. We recently had the pleasure of staying at Residence Miljunka and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the amicable staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness and willingness to assist with any request truly made us feel at home. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The sand and pebble beach is across the road. The hotel staff provided us with beach umbrellas and chairs. The embankment on the beach near the hotel is destroyed, so to get to the beach you need to walk a little along the sea. The place is beautiful and quiet!
