No place could have a better location than this, in the heart of Hampi! Stunning full view of the temple from the rooftop, absolutely breathtaking (see photo below)! Super friendly and accommodating owners, they let me in my room early morning immediately when I arrived from an overnight train journey, no mention about check-in time. The guesthouse is located above Shambhu Dosa center where everything is so tasty :) The auto-rikshaw tour organised by the owners is a must to visit all the main sites in Hampi at the best timings of the day. As a solo female traveller I felt protected and loved by Sangu's family, truly felt like home away from home! I will be back for sure, thank you for everything <3

Firstly, the host or rather the hostess is an amazing individual, taking care of your family as an extension of hers. The double rooms though small are comfortable and will help you relax after your days touring. As a family of 2 plus , would suggest to book 2 rooms if getting the double room. Food was exceptional, traditionally cooked home food. Be aware traditional sauces/ chutneys are a bit spicy. They don't have non veg though, Varsha restaurant close by offers excellent value for money, food ( non veg) included The location was the best factor in the stay, since hampi in itself does not have many good staying options, kamlapur , the location of this stay is just 10 - 15 mins drive from the main attractions. Rest all places , the driving time would entail more time to reach the places.

This simple property is exactly as described. It is clean and extremely well positioned next to the major sites of Hampi. It provides a real insight into staying in an Indian village, which I really enjoyed. As a lone female traveller, I felt very safe there. The manager Kish could not do enough to make my stay great from organising the pick up from Hubli airport to arranging sight seeing tours and a guide. I highly recommend this place.

We recently stayed in this property and highly recommend it for anyone who wants to explore Hampi (walking distance on a newly built road) and who is looking for budget accommodation. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They know Hampi very well and answer all questions. They can cook all cuisines, very good food for good prices. We really felt at home. When we stayed in the property, a larger room was available and they offered it to us for free. There is hot water. We felt very safe and the nature around the property makes it a very peaceful place. In the common area we met other travellers. Overall we had a wonderful experience in the Golden Garden and If we return to Hampi, we will book the same place.
