We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. The place was clean, well-maintained, and had a cozy, relaxed vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The location is a bit further from the beach, which is something to keep in mind if you’re considering booking. However, we were aware of this and it wasn’t a problem for us. Everything we needed – restaurants, shops, and the beach – was just a 10-minute ride away. With a scooter, everything was super accessible, and we had no trouble getting around. If you’re okay with not being right by the water, this place is a great choice for a quiet and pleasant stay.

The place must have been refurbished recently, it’s so nice and clean. Rooms are a good size and comfortable, in a quiet but central location. The owner was very flexible, I had a personal health situation and he allowed me to change dates multiple times which I’m very thankful for. Location was great, out of a lot of hustle and bustle, very quiet at night. There are quite a lto of local services within walking distance so if you need convenience stores or a laundry then it's all close by. The comfort and cleanliness of the villa was absolutely spot on. Cleaners were great, they came everyday but were unobrusive, if we were at home then they were very fast at doing a quick clean and leaving us alone. Mostly we picked a time when we were out and about so this was perfect. Facilities were perfect, nice lounges and day beds. Kitchen was well equipped and a very good supply of bottled water meant that we didn't have to carry that back ourselves so that was a great convienience. We had no communication with the owners from the time we checked in until the time we checked out so we were left totally alone to enjoy our stay. We had their Whatsapp number if we needed anything but it was so nice to be left to relax. It felt like a home not a hotel.

As a solo traveller I had planned to give myself a month to get to know Bali. And start with Villa Santai as a first orientation point when I arrive on the island. I spent 3 nights there and the place met and exceeded all my expectations. So quiet, serene, clean rooms, nice breakfast and a beautiful garden. And I was so lucky to meet the host family who made me feel right at home and gave me an abundance of tips on what to see on the island. Both speak Indonesian fluently and are very conscious of the island culture and religion as well, with statues and offerings across the property. I can only recommend to spend some time here and get acclimated to the mysteries / beauty of this island. 🙏
