But without a doubt, the best part was the hospitality and generosity of the owners, especially their son, who was absolutely amazing – always ready to help, guiding us throughout our stay, and with an impressive level of English. The location is fantastic overlooking the Gorica neighbourhood and an easy walk to Berat Castle. It is rustic and may not be everyone’s taste or style but we loved it!

We booked this the night before we arrived and ended up staying an extra night. As others said it’s up a steep hill but we had a jeep so it was no problem for us. The nicest hosts we have ever had, the hospitality is out of this world. Husband and wife were so nice and there to greet us whenever we came back for the day. Breakfast was incredible and so lovely out on the terrace. For the price, this place is the best value of any place I’ve ever stayed. You can continue past the house straight to the castle which is amazing! Room is so clean and comfy with a spacious balcony and amazing views of the town and mountains. We miss it already and seriously can’t wait to come back! Don’t hesitate to book!!!
