Hostess Paola was delightful, her large house / B&B is beautiful and a lovely place to stay. Homely and welcoming. Breakfast (Italian style) was superb and plentiful. Self access in and out of the house at any time. Anyone wary of dogs should know Paola has three very large dogs who live in the garden but they are very docile and do not bark at or bother guests. Also two friendly cats who might join you for breakfast!

Was second time here -- this time with my friends -- and none of us were disappointed. We had wonderful stay. The breakfast is excellent. The lady who owns the property is very friendly and she did absolutely everything to make our evening cozy and comfortable. The "Encyclopedia for boys" is a particularly valuable addition, for those people who love to read :)

Great location. Easy walk from train station. In about 5 to 10 minutes to all the restaurants in town. What’s nice about it is that it is in a more authentic neighborhood, with a café, one door down frequented only by locals.

Very warm and friendly welcome. I arrived very early, and the hosts managed to accommodate me within less than an hour after the arrival. Location is good for visiting Varese, just a few meters from the bus stop and 10min away from train station, parking looks good too

The location itself and the surroundings were in reality just as nice as on the photos. Everything lush green and quiet, except for the birds singing in the trees. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was Italian style, with a very good cappuccino and freshly made orange juice, and having breakfast on the big terrace was a real treat. We had our bicycles along and went on the pista ciclabile around the lake, an extremely beautiful and interesting 29 km tour without car traffic. A large shopping center is 10 min walk away, as are restaurants and the village center. We stayed over a week and had a very pleasant time there - really recommendable!

The accommodations at La Selvetta are wonderful. We are an American family with three small children and this was our second stay! The room offered plenty of space and high quality and comfortable beds and bathroom. La Selvetta is a gated property in a very peaceful setting and is close to the city with lots of things to do.
