The hotel is built along the outside of old colonial walls - really interesting. And a quick path from the hotel to walk along the ocean and amongst basalt columns. If we hadn't stayed at this hotel, we would have definitely missed this unique geographical feature. We went to the island for the same reason everyone else goes, the Museum of Slaves and other architecture, but this was an unexpected bonus. We enjoyed it the way we did Iceland's basalt and Ireland's Giant's Causeway. The history of the island overshadows mentioning this in any literature that I am aware of. The owner is a very kind and hospitable host. She is a most impressive woman who is continually building her gardens and property. The gardener is a lovely man too and also one of the island's painters. This place with its lovely people and uniqueness beats any fancy 5 star corporate hotel.

The security was always present and helped with taxis and loading luggage. The whole building was spotless and well taken care of. I had a refrigerator issue that was taken care of quickly.

Their friendly and attentive service made all the difference. Breakfast was great. The restaurant offers a variety of cold options and allows customers to order eggs made to their liking. It is also open late and serves meals throughout the day if needed. Overall, this hotel is a true gem in the vibrant hub of Dakar. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service!

She was very kind and unintrusive, just keeping the apartment in pristine condition. The apartment felt luxurious just as described and looked even better than the pics. We tried many excursions(quad biking, pink lake, lion safari, toursit attractions..are to name a few) with the fantastic, dedicated help of Elie... honestly, we had so much fun. Leaving here feels kind of sad. 100% I would love to return here and to Senegal. There is so much more I'd like to see and do.
