The playa mangos bar and restaurant was wonderful and just a short walk away. We ate breakfast at La Sirenita up top on their covered deck and was delicious. Loved our casita, super comfortable and we slept better than ever. Can't wait to go back. I even had to take an online/interactive 3 hour class for continuing education, and the wifi was excellent the entire time. Sat on my deck overlooking Lake Nicaragua and had a fabulous Zoom class.

They have a whatsapp group to let you know what is going on, or when the food truck is coming. Lots of hammocks to lounge about in. Even though this is a small hostel, there are fun activities offered. The howler monkeys and birds come really close to the deck. The kitchen is clean and spacious and well thought out. The cabins are really great, spacious, comfortable and right on the edge of the jungle. I had a little accident and they could not have been kinder or done more to help me.

We felt incredibly lucky to have stumbled on this absolute gem of a place to stay in one of the most special places in the world.

Fairly priced, built with great attention to detail, and managed in a very sustainable way. Everything works perfectly. Tidy rooms, each with its own terrace on top, and a complete kitchen. Mariken and Mark are lovely hosts and we ended up extending our stay. Would really recommend the curry night on Monday and Wednesday; excellent food and affordable prices.
