Beach Hotels in Vík

We were a group of 7 people traveling in the south of Iceland and we rented two cottages at Mid Hvoll Cottages. The cottages were comfortable, warm, clean and fully equipped. I would like to remark the hospitality of the owners: due to a snow storm we were blocked in our way to Vatnajökull glacier, with the Ring Road closed from Vik, but Mid Hvoll Cottages manages the situaton quickly to accommodate us for one more night. But late in the afternoon, Ring Road was reopened and we decide to continue our trip to Vatnajökull. Our host did not gice us any problem, did not chage us for late check out nor booking lost and even more, he gave us the option to return at any moment in the night to the cottages if for any reason we find any issue in the road which don't let us to continue our trip. Thanks a lot, with such hospitality, we felt much more comfortable and confident in our travel.

Location is perfect - can walk to major restaurants in town, and a black sand beach. Homemade waffle batters, jam, gourmet cheese. Exceptional! Clean apartment with wood flooring. We were asked to leave our outdoor shoes on the foyer which could explain why the apartment was so clean. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Comes with a waffle maker, a French press (for coffee) and plenty tableware, cookware, etc. Black out blinds. Quiet residential area. Great quality sleep. Free parking. Strong wifi.
