You need some form of transportation to get around. Other than that the owners are super friendly, you can order food. The garden is super nice and the whole backwaters area is really pretty. I recommend checking out the bird sanctuary very early in the morning. He also offer to use the boat for 1000rupees/hr

If you are looking for a stayed in this place, you are looking in the best hostel or home for the travellers in the entire India. An awesome house, with the best crew, in a cool and chill place, extraordinary clean, confortable, awesome manager... The only one with breakfast included. That makes this place, the BEST.

Breakfast was delicious (we would have even preferred to start with the Indian food), spacious rooms with a very comfortable bed, great garden and outstanding service!

The best homestay, if you are coming to Alleppey and want to enjoy tasty Kerala food, budget friendly, experience true hospitality, with the opportunity to make wonderful friends and in a great location just 2 minutes walk from the beach then Venitia Homestay is the right choice. There is the option of Fan or AC, we chose fan. The rooms are spacious, comfortable bed, and drinking water/glasses provided. The shower pressure is good, towels are provided and the windows in bedroom open fully to allow good air circulation if needed. The first visit, (we stayed here 3 times in total), we extended our trip and stayed for 8 nights and the bed linen/towels were changed without even asking. There is space to relax here, on the balcony, interacting with the family or even up to the rooftop to admire the stars at night. The family are so lovely, their hospitality is 5* and it feels like a home away from home. Jeeja's cooking is so good, we ate nearly all our meals here, some at the family dining area downstairs and some upstairs near our room, vegetarian/meat/fish/spicy/not spicy she is very accommodating and for myself just a little sugar in the best masala chai in Kerala 😊 Jeeja the Masala Chai Queen ☺️ If they could help us in any way they did so, they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, to look after us and arrange trips/recommend places to visit. We even did some exploring with Aakash, went to the cinema together, and enjoyed many conversations with all the family. Staying with this kind, caring, friendly and fun family has been a true highlight of my visit to Kerala, and I look forward to visiting them again next time I return to Kerala. I recommend sunrise kayaking, the budget friendly Vega government boat trip, KSRTC Gavi trip, the beach near by, and generally just exploring the area.

Everything was amazing but the most amazing was our host! Wonderful Lady who made us feel like at home. She made delicious breakfast and made us sandwich for morning boat activitie. One of the best place i have ever stayed. Strongly recomend!

Mohammed is great host. Very welcoming. Happy to help in anyway. Even offered to pick us up from other beach as was bank holiday and wasn't sure if we could get tuk tuk. Room is okay size, very comfortable with private bathroom. Super quiet aircon. Comfy bed. Located 30 sec walk to beach and cafe. Small basic kitchen with fridge and communal area to sit inside and also terrace outside. Overall excellent place to stay and great value. Recommend. Thanks 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Beautiful home, wonderful family and a really good location. Under a minutes walk to the beach with a few good restaurants within a ten minute walk. We couldn't ask for more. We were supported when we needed medical help and visited the local hospital which was superb. The breakfasts are delicious and they are flexible to our needs. They also helped us to get around the local area. One of our favourite places to stay in India.
