The best homestay, if you are coming to Alleppey and want to enjoy tasty Kerala food, budget friendly, experience true hospitality, with the opportunity to make wonderful friends and in a great location just 2 minutes walk from the beach then Venitia Homestay is the right choice. There is the option of Fan or AC, we chose fan. The rooms are spacious, comfortable bed, and drinking water/glasses provided. The shower pressure is good, towels are provided and the windows in bedroom open fully to allow good air circulation if needed. The first visit, (we stayed here 3 times in total), we extended our trip and stayed for 8 nights and the bed linen/towels were changed without even asking. There is space to relax here, on the balcony, interacting with the family or even up to the rooftop to admire the stars at night. The family are so lovely, their hospitality is 5* and it feels like a home away from home. Jeeja's cooking is so good, we ate nearly all our meals here, some at the family dining area downstairs and some upstairs near our room, vegetarian/meat/fish/spicy/not spicy she is very accommodating and for myself just a little sugar in the best masala chai in Kerala 😊 Jeeja the Masala Chai Queen ☺️ If they could help us in any way they did so, they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, to look after us and arrange trips/recommend places to visit. We even did some exploring with Aakash, went to the cinema together, and enjoyed many conversations with all the family. Staying with this kind, caring, friendly and fun family has been a true highlight of my visit to Kerala, and I look forward to visiting them again next time I return to Kerala. I recommend sunrise kayaking, the budget friendly Vega government boat trip, KSRTC Gavi trip, the beach near by, and generally just exploring the area.

Such a gorgeous place to stay. The bungalow is beautiful and spacious, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is immaculate and it's all within a stones throw of the most beautiful beach with the warmest waters I've ever been in. Sebastian is extremely helpful and kind. I would highly recommend staying here, it has everything you could need, peace and quiet, yet easy walking distance to restaurants and shops etc, next to the beach and a lovely setting. Thank you Sebastian, we will be back! 😊

Ameya Kerala is truly amazing! The property,built in 2018 to a high standard and with lovely fittings and decorations,is owned by a French couple and run by well trained and efficient Indian staff. Anish was particularly helpful in arranging future bookings and Mr Navraj was very knowledgeable about many things. English spoken was excellent. The kitchen girls were also most attentive. The grounds are beautifully maintained by the gardeners. The food at Ameya was extremely good. Delicious in fact! Beautiful views across the lake with much bird life greets one and one is struck by the peacefulness of it all. Walks or bike rides to the local market area are enjoyable and,of course, canoe rides on the lake can be arranged. All in all we found Ameya quite exceptional and one of the best places we have ever stayed in. We could find no fault with anything.

The spot is fantastic with the beach 1min walking, very quiet and spacious. The hosts, Augustine and Neena, are very kind and attencious with all requests. They cook very nice meals, no need to search for restaurant nearby, delicious food!
