The host was incredibly flexible and kind — we had accidentally booked two apartments, and he kindly canceled one for free just two days before our arrival. He also arranged a delicious dinner even though we confirmed only 50 minutes before getting there! Everything was spotless, and both dinner and breakfast were homemade and delicious. Our kids absolutely loved the experience — the host showed us the glowing light plankton at night, rescued little turtles crossing the road, and even arranged a last-minute night tour to see the big turtles on the beach. He was friendly, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. Afaq Guest House felt like staying with friends — we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oman!

The appartment was very big, spacious and very nice. Everything was comfortable and when you asked about something or requested something the manager of the hotel, Abdu Samad, immediately reacts or sends someone to help you. And for him everything was - no problem. I loved it! Very chilling atmosphere! This is what I like. Nobody will disturb you, when you want they helped you, but you have there your freedom and their support, when you need it.

The hotel didn't have very high ranking so I had average expectations. But when I arrived, everything was great: 1. The staff were very polite and pleasant, quickly registered me and showed me the room 2. The apartment was very large, with a kitchen, corridor, bedroom and bathroom 3. The level of cleanliness was 10/10- bedsheets, bathroom, everything was spotless. 4. The wifi is super fast (given everywhere else I stayed, there was no wifi) 5. The location is great- 5 minutes walk to the Souq and the city center with shops and restaurants. 6. There is plenty of free parking around the hotel 7. It's on a quiet street, no street traffic noise at all.
