The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate ligt in het historische centrum van Bagan en beschikt over een buitenzwembad en een spa- en wellnesscentrum. The staff is very friendly and helpful (like all Myanmar people!). The set up of the reosrt is beautiful with nice little 'houses' in great and well kept gardens. The swimming ppol was in good order and so was the overall property. The room was spacious and fortunately very clean. The resort spa was small, but of very high quality - excellent massage with superb price quality - take one every dauy before dinner! I found it difficult to find a good and safe hotel in Bagan with little (recent) proper reviews - hence also my more extensive review of this nice and 'great pick!' hotel. Location is excellent and very close to all sights. Breakfast also ok for Western travellers. I will certainly look to return with my family. PS: I made use of a local tour guide: Min Thant of Tastes of Bagan (.com). I would highly recommend to book him! Situated in Old Bagan. Most places are very easy to reach. Will certainly come again.

This property was amazing. The staff were incredible, especially Mr Soe Moe who went above and beyond to ensure that I had a beautiful breakfast to eat every morning as I have allergies that prevent me from eating at the breakfast buffet (which my friends said was amazing!) We got massages and rented an e-bike through them as well, which were great. I can’t recommend this property enough!! The view from the roof is beautiful.

I stayed for 5 nights and was the only guest in the room, so it felt like having a private room all to myself. The staff are always smiling and super friendly. The hostel can help organize almost anything you need, and the prices are very reasonable. If I ever come back to Bagan, I’d definitely stay here again!
