Mike & his wife are very thoughtful hosts, I also appreciate how Mike offered pick up and drop off at the station! you have to understand that this is not like the city where transportation is very easy, so it was such a nice gesture. The place itself felt like home, it was quiet and all our needs were provided, if there was anything to note, I think it will be more hooks, hangers or place at the bathroom to place our dry clothes, towel. but overall it was such a pleasant short stay and convenience all throughout. will definitely stay again if i happen to attend anything near the area. thanks mike!

Tokoname is een parel van een stad, vooral vor diegene die van keramiek en theespullen houden. We verbleven 2 dagen, een dag langer of zelfs twee zou voor ns beter geweest zijn.

De Tokoname Pottery wandelroute die start vanaf het station laat de historie van het Japanse pottenbakken zien met daarnaast een route van allerlei winkeltjes die lokaal gemaakt serviesgoed, theepotjes, bonsaischalen en de bekende Japanse kat verkopen. Verrassend veelzijdige route en erg interessant, leuk om de makers te ontmoeten. Nadeel is de reistijd naar Tokoname, alleen bereikbaar met gewone treinen vanaf oa Nagoya.
