Yard games in the cupboard, and heater in the patio. Birds were common and close (including Ptarmigan), and foxes could be found a short drive away at the right time of day. Close to whale watching and scenic sights in Myvatn. Bilberry growing in the yard in the right season.

Clean, nice, spacious and pleasant. Check in fine. Everything lovely. Terrace also nice in front of the door. Just 12 minutes from Húsavík. Lovey hosts. Set in Húsavík, within 42 km of Godafoss Waterfall and 4.4 km of Husavik Golf Club, Saltvík Farm Guesthouse offers accommodation with a terrace as well as free private parking for guests who drive. It’s quaint right outside of town. We were there in October and drove through a blizzard (literally) and got there a little late so we didn’t see anyone but a cute little sticky with a room key with our name. The shared kitchen had everything needed to cook a nice meal from the grocery store just 1/2 mile away. We had room 4 which had a great picture window where we did see northern lights. Now it is a converted cow shed so not a typical hotel so go with mindset of a unique Iceland experience.

Situated within 30 km of Godafoss Waterfall and 37 km of Husavik Golf Club in Granastaðir, Granastaðir Guesthouse features accommodation with seating area. We had a great stay. The guesthouse is really nice, surrounded by a nice garden with a greenhouse, with a view of a waterfall and a lot of nature in general. The kitchen was just next door and well equipped, but we also had a small kitchen area in our room! And I was really happy about the hot chocolate powder with marshmallows waiting for us there :) The room was really nice and comfortable. We would definitely come back here if we return to Iceland!

Located in a historic house in central Húsavík, Árból Guesthouse offers free parking and free WiFi access. Whale watching trips depart from Húsavik Port, only a 5-minute walk away. Great location off main road. Walked to our whale tour. Nice selection of teas and the kettle was great for heating up our own food.
