A very cozy, well maintained country house with a lot of history, the beds were amazing (slept very well) and above all the host Pat was very helpful and kind. The house is very warm, there is everything you need. I recommend it if you want to spend a weekend away from the bustle of the city

Gateway Glamping, een accommodatie met een terras, ligt in Farranfore, op 15 km van St Mary's Cathedral, 17 km van INEC, en 18 km van Siamsa Tire Theatre. We hebben drie nachten overnacht hier. De pods waren supernieuw, schoon en goed uitgerust. Klein maar goed bed. Gezellig ingericht. Goed contact met de eigenaar die we niet hebben gezien maar goed contact mee. De eigenaar heeft gepoogd ons nog op te zoeken maar wij waren op pad. De omgeving (natuur) buiten het terrein is uiteraard geweldig. Vlakbij de pods een winkel op 1 minuut lopen die tot 22.00 open was.

Herlihy's, Half-Way-House is gelegen in Farranfore en beschikt over accommodatie en een patio. Dit appartement heeft een tuin, barbecue, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. It was a most unique quirky property in an excellent central location for exploring the area. The kitchen sitting area was the former pub but beautifully adapted providing everything you need whilst retaining many of the original features. The apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable with good quality bed linen and towels provided. Marie is a delightful lady who lives next door who has excellent knowledge and recommendations for things to do and see. Parking is behind the property and also a very pretty garden . We had a most enjoyable week staying at Herlihy’s and would highly recommend.

It’s a renovated traditional two story farmhouse on a 180 acre dairy farm half way between Kerry Airport and the village of Castleisland. You need a car, I recommend Hertz. It’s the whole house! Mary welcomed us with a generous great welcoming basket full of groceries to supplement what was already in the well equipped full kitchen. Nealy took us to the Monday morning cattle sale and showed us the daily milking routine. So fascinating! We missed the date to return the car but Nealy brought us back from the airport when we had to return it and Mary took us back the next day to make our flight out. They didn’t have to do that as there are plenty of taxis but that’s what country folk do in Ireland is my guess.
