A charming cottage equipped with all necessary things, even a coffee machine with coffee capsules . Beautiful location next to the tiny waterfall. Singing Redwings. Comfortable beds in the bedroom and a convertible sofa in the living room. Clean bathroom with a shower. The cabin is small but really cosy. We wished we could stay there longer. Also, the only accommodation from our tour around Iceland which provided a washing machine!

The host Caroline was exceedingly pleasant and professional. Accommodations, while plain, were cozy and perfect.

Great spot in a location where places to stay are fairly limited. We found the accommodation perhaps a little basic but clean and comfortable. Our host was very friendly indeed and cooked burgers which were as good as previous reviewers have suggested. I would stay here again if I was passing through.

Iceland has many jewels of nature and landscape.
The Gil guesthouse is one of the accomodation jewels of Iceland.
Our room was very nice and had everything we needed, we had our own bathroom, a table. Everything was very clean.
We haven't met unfriendly Icelandic people during our vacation. But the kindness we experienced at Gil guesthouse was exceptional.
They food and breakfast served in the cozy restaurant is mostly locally and very delicious.

amazing and quiet location, it’s good for a different kind of stay! Very good price and cool setting with the bungalows. Just be aware since it’s quite remote there is no signal and no Wi-Fi, but we didn’t mind, sometimes it’s nice to disconnect especially when on holiday! if you’re loved ones are anxious just tell them in advance haha
