The hotel is modern but we were able to stay in the traditional Japanese style room - everything about the room was thoughtfully prepared (tea, drip coffee, robes and slippers for use when going to onsen, ice machine and small souvenir shop), clean and beds were comfortable. The location was very good, nice buffet dinner, live music performance at night and very kind staff. The rooftop onsen was excellent - it had a beautiful view of Matsuyama city, different soaking areas (outdoor and indoor with spa bubbles) and felt pretty private.

This is an excellent hotel with a good location. We booked the Japanease style room. The room was a little small for 3 people, but the futons were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. AC works fine. Breakfast was very good.

Set in Imabari, 18 km from Henjou-in Temple, Shimanami PRIME HOTEL IMABARI offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The Prime is a new hotel close to the station. We were given a warm welcome and the reception staff were super helpful when there was a problem with our reservation. They resolved the issue and put us at ease. The bedroom was large by Japanese standards, as was the bathroom. The linen was high quality and the room had a large smart tv. The bathroom had a large bath as well as a shower, which was welcome after a long day cycling. There was a hot bath and sauna available for guests to use, with the usual caveats around tattoos. The hotel offers guests a free drink in the reception area, which was also a nice touch - we loved the cold beer!

Room was incredibly comfortable, staff were very helpful and the scenery and views were beautiful! Onsen was excellent and the buffet had many delicious options

Super nice and modern hotel. Also had a very well maintained and clean public bath. Very convenient location right next to Matsuyama City Station and easy access to the castle, good coffee, restaurants and shopping streets.

A lovely hotel right next to Imabari bus station. You can hire a bicycle from the ‘bicycle hire station’, which is next door, if you fancy a go at the Shimanami Kaido. Wonderful helpful staff.
