Super friendly staff with great recommendations for restaurants and cafes. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Great value for money.

Staff are very welcoming especially Stefano and Katerina in the reception. They are hospitable and happy to help and gave many information needed. Stefano and Katerina are very good on what they do best. Communication is very clear.

Boasting a shared lounge and free WiFi, Cocoon City Hostel is set in Chania Town. The property is close to Mitropoleos Square, Municipal Art Gallery of Chania and Historical Museum of Chania. This hostel exceeded every expectation I had and completely changed my perspective on hostels. The facilities are new, clean, and in excellent condition. The staff is friendly and always ready to help, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. There’s a lovely courtyard with a pool, a dedicated study room, a well-equipped kitchen, and spacious common areas for cooking and relaxing. The bathrooms are spotless, as they are cleaned multiple times throughout the day, and I never experienced any crowding or waiting. It’s by far the best value for money you can find — without sacrificing comfort in any way. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Just 50 metres from the beach and 1 km from Rethymno Town, Archipelagos Hotel is set on a hillside with panoramic views over the Cretan Sea and the Venetian Castle. Location, the helpful staff, amazing views, clean super comfortable bed, yes amazing views, truly one of the best places I’ve stayed in.

Featuring an a la carte restaurant, Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family is set amidst a garden with olive trees. I enjoyed the food at the location. It was beyond our expectations. Also, the beach is very close, 5 minutes walking. The apartment rooms are located in a beautiful olive tree garden. They all have a balcony, AC and bathroom.

Aphrodite Beach Hotel is located on the sandy beach of Mavros Molos in Kissamos. It features a swimming pool, umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach and offers free WiFi throughout. A wonderful hotel! Although Google Maps showed it as a two-star hotel, it definitely deserves at least four. The apartments are newly furnished with a beautiful design. Breakfast could perhaps have a bit more variety, but everything was tasty. The beach is excellent, with comfortable sunbeds, and the bar is open from early morning until late at night — something the neighboring hotel didn’t have. With magnificent sea views from a rocky headland above Aghios Nikolaos Bay, this adults-only resort blends together all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday. I spent a week solo at Minos Palace Resort in Agios Nikolaos, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. I stayed in an Infinity Blue room, which was absolutely stunning — modern, comfortable, and offering a breathtaking view of the sea. Waking up to that view every morning felt like a dream. The whole resort is incredibly peaceful and well-maintained. The infinity pool is perfect for relaxing, the private beach is beautiful and serene, and the lush green surroundings make it easy to fully unwind. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh, local options — and I really appreciated how healthy and flavorful the food was throughout my stay. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, with a focus on quality and well-being. A special mention to the staff, especially the waiters who were always smiling, kind, and attentive — their warmth truly made a difference and made me feel very welcome as a solo traveler. I also treated myself to a one-hour massage at the spa, which was incredibly soothing and helped me completely relax. I left the resort feeling rested, recharged, and already dreaming of my next stay. Highly recommended!
